Hi Rose and Shelley, thanks for the comments last week :) It’s nice to be back, I’ve been keeping an eye on my dash but have just been too busy to contribute much really. Hope you are both ok! Aikido last night was a really good class. My friend Keith taught the first hour of the class and did some weapons work and then I taught the last hour. The students had been asking me for some...
Rumours Of My Death...
…So erm, yeah. Hi everyone, hope you’re all OK? Nia, Shelley, Rose, Jax?
I haven’t really been motivated to blog much since the wifi finally got installed a couple of weeks ago; things have been manic with the flat and work. I just nearly got made redundant (again, this is like the 5th time in 3 years) and am currently re-training in a much worse role so that’s been kinda...

Freaked!
seeshelly72:
Yuck! I was eating a bowl of cereal, enjoying it, and i felt something crunchy in my mouth. I though,”hmmm, must be a bit of wheat or something.” Then I looked & it was a FREAKING LADY BUG! YUCK< WTF!! I told you guys we have a problem with them in this house but I’ve NEVER seen them in my food. I did a few big dry heaves. I could puke, really. Do you think this will make me...
Shopping
I love food shopping; I just got the rest of the ingredients for tonight’s Risotto and some big bottles of San Pellegrino. I had to get white wine for the recipe and it seemed pointless buying a little bottle so I picked up a really nice bottle of Pinot Grigio/Garganega blend. I’m not a big white wine drinker but this one is my favourite, it’s one of M & S’ own. Check...
Cold Roses: Things →
Seem a lot better now. I saw something yesterday that made me take action with SH and tell him to be a better friend if that’s what he’s expecting me to be. Things don’t feel completely ok though. I’m outside the guidance counsellor’s office for the second day in a row and she’s not here…..
Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better. Hang in, it goes away eventually, I promise...

Hee…the husband thinks I’m mad to be so hung up on a gay man. :) I expect the set list to be the same but don’t expect me to remember too much of what he plays. Really excited though - work is hard this morning.
He’s a cutie. Sorry to hear that, at least it’s Friday though. I’m coasting through my morning. Going to go food/clothes horse/dvd shopping at...
Proper Fucked
I am, as the title states, very tired. It’s been a Hell of a long week. After the gig Monday and Jitsu Tuesday I then finally finished painting my room on Wednesday night. I’m so glad to have finally gotten rid of every last trace of the hideous fuckin’ purple/lilac that was in there. I’ve also had a bit of a reverse on the ‘Morrocan theme’ after thinking about...
Jiujitsu
I went to try a jiujitsu class last night properly for the first time, I’ve done it before once or twice years back and one of my instructors used to cross-teach it now and again but I’ve always wanted to do it properly. Jijitsu is the unarmed combat style that samurai would use originally when they were weaponless or to grapple someone on the battlefied so that they could then...

Oh wow. Great review and thank you. No it didn’t spoil it at all. I think I’ll have to leave the husband in the bar for the first set if he repeats that on Friday. I shall love it - the husband will probably fall asleep bless him, although he’ll enjoy the more traditional second set.
I have the new album. I have only listened a couple of times but I usually play on shuffle so...
Update
stereoplaysjunk:
We’ve had a lovely day today.
There’s this place called St. Kilda Sea Baths just on the beach which is a salt water swimming pools with a jacuzzi and steam room and it’s like 12 bucks to go in and you can use the facilities all day long! It was really nice to relax and have a little swim and feel like I’ve done just the tiniest bit of a work out. Although I favoured the jacuzzi...
Just A Couple Of My Favourite Things
Sorry this is a day late or so, work was frantic yesterday and I still got no internets at home :(
Rufus was un-fucking-believable! Rose, I’m not sure if you wanna read this as he tends to stick to his set-lists quite rigidly each tour I think so this might be a bit of a spoiler. If not then read on below…
He played two sets, no support. For the first set they requested no applause...
Reporting to You Live From MA......

It’s ME! Paul brought his laptop, so I thought I’d take quick moment to say hello. I’ve got a large whopper of a cup of coffee, sitting in a big, beautiful kitchen, nestled in the woods. The sun is finally shining, and I think we’ll take a day trip to Rockport. I used to go there when I was a little girl, I want Henry to see it.
We got in on Sat. and ordered the most delic sushi....

This all sounds wonderful. I’m really glad it’s all turning out so well for you. It sounds like you’re going to have lots of happy times there.
We’re still waiting for the pictures. :)
Thanks, I certainly hope so :)
I’ll sort the broadband out and then I’ll have a huge photo splurge, I’m getting my hands on a Macbook that needs fixing up today as well so...
Phew!
Well, it’s official; We’re finally done moving into the flat. We got all of Neil’s stuff Saturday and all of mine (bar my half stack guitar amp and a huge mirror I have) yesterday with a bit of help from Steve. We haven’t sorted our internet/TV/phone yet so that’s why I’ve been silent over the weekend. We’ve pretty much finished the kitchen and got just...
ROAD TRIP!
seeshelly72:
Off to a late start but wanted to check in with my tumblr family. I need a quick shower, throw some clothes in a bag, get snacks ready for the trip and we’re off! New England here we come. I think Boston will be tomorrow. The local Mom’s Club made our friend’s daughter a prayer quilt, which is soooo beautiful. I feel honored to be able to deliver it to them and I can’t wait to see...

If I hadn’t already fallen in love with her then this would have done it.
I still can’t believe I got rid of my DS, even though I rarely game these days I would be all over this new Pokemon like fucking herpes :(

Hahahaha. Life is so dramatic sometimes. I obviously need to learn to ride the waves a bit better.
Naw dude… it’s nice to have a few ups and downs to react to… and learn from… fiiiine.
Yeah, bit gutted that things are going as I knew they would.
But I had a good time for a bit there.
I shouldn’t have expected a relationship from someone I live almost 200 miles away from and who...

The child has now decided that he has no option but to vote for this guy since he found out he’s an old boy of his Prep School. The “old school tie” network is alive and well throughout the United Kingdom, don’t believe anything to the contrary.
Of course it is, I think the education you receive in a public school is secondary to the networking skills and contacts you make...

Maybe Gordon is better in person. Frankly he makes my skin crawl and I find him charmless. Maybe I should concentrate more on politics than the men involved. :)
That’s how I imagine him; as a sort of very unsexy, not as successful but steadier Bill Clinton. Well, I spose there were ‘Blair Babes’ 10 years ago (wtf that was all about I’ll never...

I think everyone should support their local library. We just have a small local one but it’s friendly and the staff are helpful (Okay they have a very sexy librarian). I go to two book clubs there and you can order in just about any book available in the Swansea area libraries for free. The old stuffy library image gone now.
Totally agree, it’s nice to see public money...

I really hope so. I’ll be devastated if the Tories get in again and while Brown is a decent leader and a good public speaker and I feel sorry for the bag of shit of he inherited from Blair, I am so ready to see these guys finally get their chance.

Sunshine
Is awesome. I just walked down to the quayside on my lunchbreak to go pick up my Rufus Wainwright tickets from the venue ( http://www.thesagegateshead.org/ ) and it’s so hot. Everyone was out having lunch and sitting out at the bars and cafes or just going for walks or running along the riverside. I could smell the salt from the sea at the mouth of the Tyne too. When I got into the venue...

Isn’t the library wonderful? I have so many fond memories as a kid at our old one. It was in an old house. It had a museum upstairs that shared local history of our village. I loved how it smelled. Now, when I go to our new “fancy” one, I get the same feelings. I love the cookbook section. I get all “frisky” with ideas for new recipes.
It sure is. That sounds really nice and...

The library yesterday. I’m quite excited about that, it just got built last year and is an amazing new building right round the corner from my office. You can get like ten books or CDs out at a time and they have what looks like a great world cinema DVD section. There’s also a nice open plan work/quiet area and a coffee shop. I think I have found another new favourite place to hang,...

Turning Point.....
seeshelly72:
It’s happening and I couldn’t believe it. People warned me that this day would come.
I had lunch with Henry today at school, I like to try to do it at least a couple times a month. He always enjoys it and gets to pick one friend to sit at a separate table along with all the other visiting parents. Now that the weather is nicer, the kids get to play outside on the playground after...

The room sounds like it’s coming together nicely. The colors sound very warm . And it’s true, many hands make light work. It’s nice to have help with jobs like painting. I always seem to go “gung-ho” for the 1st 2 hours and then fade like a rose. Good music helps the time go too, just sing at the top of your lungs! It will fly!
Pizza, huh? My fav too....

Never As Tired As When I'm Waking Up
Howdy people, how’s it hanging? I am sitting at work, shattered and nursing my coffee. Our computer system is fucked so there’s pretty much nothing to do right now. I’m not complaining, though it’s bound to get manic later…

I just went for lunch at Blake’s coffee house (my favourite coffee shop in the world, well town really I guess) with Steve. He just started a new job on Monday after three months or so of unemployment, it’s really nice to have him back in town. I’ve missed being able to hang out with him at lunch and after work. Sadly though, he and his girlfriend (another good friend of...
